Manage a mosque's lifecycle: activate, suspend, archive

As the platform operator you move a mosque along its lifecycle from the browser, with no database access. Everything here is behind the platform sign-in, so only you can reach it.

Find a mosque in the directory

1. Go to Platform, Organisations (/platform/organisations). Every mosque you have onboarded is listed in one table: its name, status, member count and when it was created.
2. Narrow the list with Filter: search by mosque name, filter by status, and sort by name, status or created date. The table updates in place, and a long list pages with Previous and Next.
3. Tap Manage on a mosque's row to open it. You land on its detail page: the current state, primary site, when it was created, the first coordinator's email and whether they have signed in yet, and the changes valid from here.

To add a new mosque, tap Add mosque on the same page and fill in the mosque, its first site and its first coordinator. If you already know a mosque's Organisation ID, you can also paste it under Manage an existing mosque in that panel. An ID we don't hold is answered inline with No mosque has that ID, keeping what you pasted so you can fix a mistyped character.

The lifecycle states

A mosque moves through Trial, Active, Past due, Suspended and Archived. The full table of states, the changes valid from each, and who keeps access, is in Mosque lifecycle states. In short:

• Suspended locks the coordinator and team out, but a trustee can always read the safeguarding records. Suspension is commercial, never a child-safety state.
• Archived is final: access ends for everyone and the mosque cannot be reopened. The safeguarding audit is retained under the retention policy.

The page only ever offers the changes valid from the current state, so you cannot make an invalid move.

Make a change

1. On the detail page, under Change the state, tap the change you want (for example Activate). From a suspended or past-due mosque this button reads Reactivate, since it restores access rather than converting a trial.
2. The state updates in place and is announced. The page then shows the changes now valid from the new state.
3. Suspend and Archive ask you to confirm first, and are styled as cautionary rather than as the ordinary primary action. Suspending locks the coordinator and team out straight away (the trustee keeps read access), and archiving is final.

Every change is recorded: who made it and when.

Acting as a mosque for support

The detail page also offers Act as this mosque for hands-on support. Kadim asks why you are accessing the mosque (a reason category and a short note kept in the audit log), the session ends automatically after 60 minutes, and the mosque's trustees can see that a platform operator accessed their mosque. Only the reason category and the time are shown to them, never your note.

While you are acting as a mosque, a banner sits at the top of every page naming the mosque, with Exit support mode next to it. It stays on screen as you scroll. If you cannot see it, you are not acting as anyone.

Support access can be refused. Everything done in support mode is recorded against the operator's retained Person. A configured operator starts Pending; their first verified sign-in binds that Person and activates the operator record. Until that succeeds, support mode is refused. When that happens the detail page says so, nothing is accessed, and the mosque's trustees are not told that anyone visited. Sign out, then sign in with the exact provisioned account and a verified email address. If it is still refused, check the configured operator pair and the Pending record rather than creating an ordinary mosque membership. After activation, the Active operator record is the authority checked on every platform and support request; configuration no longer grants access. A Revoked operator is therefore denied from the next request, even if the old pair remains configured.

Sign out, and what happens when a session ends

Sign out is in the account menu (the avatar at the end of the top bar on a computer) and in the menu drawer's footer on a phone. It is there whether or not you belong to a mosque, so a platform operator, who deliberately holds no membership anywhere, signs out the same way everyone else does. Signing out ends the session and lands you on the public Kadim site.

If a session simply runs out while you are working, the next thing you press will tell you so: Your session has ended, with a Sign in again link. Nothing you were part-way through is saved, so start that step again after signing in.

What this does not do yet

Exporting a mosque's data on the way out, and the erasure or retention of records after archiving, are not built yet. They need a founder and data-protection sign-off first, so the page offers no export button.
