Switch a mosque's message categories on or off

As the platform operator you decide, per mosque, which message categories Kadim sends on its behalf. This lives on the mosque's detail page, behind the platform sign-in. Mosques do not see this screen.

What a category switch does

Every text Kadim sends belongs to a category: nudges, coordinator alerts, digests, reminders, courtesy messages, rota broadcasts, and everything else. Switching a category off for a mosque drops every message in that category at the send seam, before it reaches the provider, so it can never cost anything. Switching it back on restores sending immediately.

A new mosque sends every category. You only need this page to narrow that.

Make a change

  1. Go to Platform, Organisations (/platform/organisations) and tap Manage on the mosque's row.
  2. On the detail page, under Message categories, use the switch next to a category. The change saves as soon as you flip it, and the page confirms what is now on or off.
  3. Flip the same switch again to undo. The confirmation always reads back the state that was stored, not the one you asked for.

Every change is recorded: who changed it, which mosque, which category, and the value it settled on.

What always sends

Three categories carry no switch, for anyone, anywhere in Kadim:

  • Sign-in codes: the code is the sign-in the person just asked for.
  • Safeguarding messages: safety sits behind no toggle of any kind.
  • Opt-out confirmations: the legally expected acknowledgement of a person's own STOP or START.

Their absence from the page is not an omission. If a category you expect to switch is missing, it is one of these three.
