Plan the month on a calendar
Your rota list answers "what is on this rota". The calendar answers the question you actually carry around: which day needs me? Open Calendar from the menu (☰).
Two quick ways to scan the same truth
There are two views, and no more:
- Agenda shows what is coming, soonest first. This is the default on your phone: if tomorrow's Jummah still needs people, it is the first thing on the screen.
- Month is a compact seven-column grid. Today has a filled circle and a dot marks each day with scheduled work. Tap a day to open its rotas.
Whichever you are in, the month or date range you are looking at is named in the app bar, so you always know where you are. The month prints cleanly for the noticeboard, without the app around it.
Every view is a plain link. The filters, the level and the date all live in the address bar, so you can share exactly what you are looking at with another coordinator.
Reading a day
In the agenda, each rota is a whole row: time first, then its name and written state. Published rotas include their fill count; planned rows say when they will publish instead. Every state also has a glyph, so nothing relies on colour alone.
The at risk chips (seats free, and the start inside the next 48 hours) are the ones to act on first. A planned chip belongs to a standing schedule and even says when it will publish; there's nothing for you to do. The full vocabulary of chips and markers is set out in Rota, slot and status states.
A busy day shows its rotas and collapses overflow into +N more on wider screens. On a phone the compact month keeps all seven days in view and uses a dot to mark a busy day; tap its date for the details. Start times and fill counts stay in the agenda.
Fixing a Friday at risk
Tap a rota row or occurrence chip to open that rota's board. Tapping a date (or +N more) opens that day's rotas, and from there the board gives you the same tools: share the link to WhatsApp, copy it, text the team, and assign pool members. The calendar never adds a new way to change a rota; everything happens through the board actions you already know.
Filters
Filter opens a sheet: by type (Jummah or one-off), by fill state, and, if you also serve yourself, only my duties, which shows the rotas where you hold a slot at this mosque.
