Leaving a mosque

If you no longer serve at a mosque, you can say so yourself, from your own page. Nobody has to do it for you, nobody is asked to approve it, and Kadim never decides it for you: a quiet season is not leaving, and no amount of time away will ever take you off a team by itself.

How to leave

Open your page at that mosque and scroll to the bottom. Under No longer serving here?, tap I no longer serve here. Kadim tells you exactly what will stop and what stays before you confirm. Nothing happens until you do.

What stops

  • Upcoming, unserved duties you hold there are freed, so someone else can take them. Public duties keep their usual reopening alerts. Private staffing duties reopen without a public alert; their authorised planners can see the recorded change. Completed duties and cancelled or past rosters keep their history.
  • The mosque's open slots no longer appear on your page.
  • Its texts stop, because you are no longer on the team the mosque writes to.

What stays

  • Everything you have done. Your finished tasks at that mosque stay on your page, under its name, part of your own record. Leaving never deletes a thing you did.
  • The mosque's safeguarding record. If the mosque holds a record of your DBS status, it keeps it, as the law requires. That record was always about safeguarding, not membership.
  • Your other mosques. Leaving one mosque touches nothing anywhere else.

Leaving is not goodbye

If you serve there again one day, claim a duty from any share link, the way you first joined. You are back on the team from that moment, and your page carries on where it left off. Your record is continuous, and nothing about having left is held against you.

If you only want fewer texts

Then do not leave. Leaving is for when you no longer serve. If you still serve and just want quiet, see stopping the texts.
